Positive Thinking as a Coping Strategy to Pressures of Life
from:In a world that is clouded with negative atmosphere, maintaining a positive attitude may prove to be a daunting task. But as difficult as it may be, a positive attitude is needed if you want to continue living a healthy and meaningful life. How do you do this?
Life in itself is full of uncertainty and all we can do is to hope that tomorrow will turnout to be a great day for us. But no matter how hard we hope that things will workout fine still some things will just go haywire and suddenly we are left uncertain, stressed and worried.
These are just normal reactions to bad situations. The only problem is when you start to get really affected by all the bad things that happen to you that you end up losing hope, doubting your own abilities, blaming yourself for all the bad things that happen and then the worst is having this mental picture of yourself as a loser or a hopeless case.
If you will maintain such negative thoughts then you will be the LOSER whom you think you are. Just like what Mahatma Gandhi an Indian Philosopher once said that a man is a product of his own thoughts, what he thinks, he will become.
If you are to only think about it life is really wonderful. Everyday is a chance or an opportunity to renew your self. So what if you did not do well in your job yesterday? There is always the next day where you can make up for what you did the other day. If you still did a lousy job the next day there will always be the next day and a day after the next.
You have your whole life ahead of you. Enjoy every minute of it and learn from every mistake that you make that you may avoid repeating them in the future. Have a positive disposition, smile and the whole world smiles with you.
Positive Thinking begets Positive Results
Positive thinking according to some pessimist is a myth more like women orgasm. But what they do not know is that it does exist and this has been proven by all the great minds in fields on science, politics, literature and others. Just think if they did not keep a positive attitude then we would not be having all the amenities, the freedom and arts that we are enjoying today.
This clearly goes to show that positive thinking can really do make things happen. And if positive thinking works for these great people then it will also do wonders for you. All you have to do is to believe in yourself, to believe in your abilities and to accept your limitation.
It is also very important that you learn to laugh at your errors. Remember you are only human and are expected to make mistakes. Don't be too hard on yourself. Try to be forgiving to others and also to yourself. And when you are at the lowest point of your life try to pray because prayers can give you inner peace sometimes that is all you need to come up with a solution to your problem.
And lastly always remember that life is full of possibilities you only need to have faith, an open mind and a positive attitude. You will be surprise on the wonderful things that you can achieve.
