We tend to blind ourselves to our own flaws. We like to think that we know everything about our personalities and emotions, but the truth remains that most people fail to see their own imperfection.

A person, when he or she hears about the importance of emotional intelligence in life, immediately begins to think about the other people whom he or she thinks is lacking in emotional intelligence. Very few people actually take the time to examine themselves to see if they are lacking in emotional intelligence.

This ability helps you understand the people around you. Understanding is the key to knowledge. Once you are able to at least get some insight into a person's emotions you should have no trouble including him or her in your personal circle.
Emotional intelligence tests are great because they allow a person to see the truth. We all know that the greatest hindrance to the truth can be found within one's self. An emotional intelligence test can get past a person's defenses and allow that person to evaluate him/her self objectively.
